An SP-API health dashboard telling us the availability status of the Selling Partners API? Wonderful! However, there are a few disclaimers to be had…
1) This dashboard only shows the availability of the API endpoints. It does not provide any context to the quality or integrity of the data coming through the API. Said another way, if the API is delivering corrupt data, which it has been known to do over the last few weeks, you will receive no indication of such in this dashboard. The health dashboard is not a replacement for QA’ing the data you’re receiving. We do this every day via our processes and MixShift team (a dash APPLICATIONS company).
2) You’ll notice that when you expand ‘Past Incidents – Last 30 days’ at the bottom of the view, there are no incidents in sight…we know there have been a few recently so this section will apparently only show future incidents.
3) We’ll have to see how accurate this dashboard is. Everything is green right now, which seems highly unlikely…we should at least be seeing some yellows across the API endpoints so it’s yet to be discovered how reliable and proactive the dashboard will be in reflecting real-time API availability and outages.
