⚠️ Heads up, Amazon is deprecating a bunch of seller Inventory Reports at the end of January, both in the Console (see image) and the Amazon SP-API.

The Console reports will be replaced by a single ‘Inventory Ledger Report’ according to Seller Central’s alert (read on why this isn’t a great replacement).

There are equivalent deprecations happening in the  Amazon Seller SP-API as follows: _GET_FBA_FULFILLMENT_CURRENT_INVENTORY_DATA_
_GET_FBA_FULFILLMENT_MONTHLY_INVENTORY_DATA_
_GET_FBA_FULFILLMENT_INVENTORY_ADJUSTMENTS_DATA_
_GET_FBA_RECONCILIATION_REPORT_DATA_
_GET_FBA_FULFILLMENT_INVENTORY_SUMMARY_DATA_
_GET_FBA_FULFILLMENT_INVENTORY_RECEIPTS_DATA_

They will also be replaced by two different reports, GET_LEDGER_SUMMARY_VIEW_DATA and GET_LEDGER_DETAIL_VIEW_DATA (even worse replacements of the mentioned reports)

𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻?

🧠 If you’re relying on any of the inventory reports via the console or the Amazon Seller API, you’ll need to integrate the new consolidated report(s).

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁:

🤦🏽‍♂️ However, in our research, we found that the new Ledger reports leave out some critical pieces of information. Not only do they obscure what’s actually on hand, they also don’t indicate the on-hand status of different inventory amounts (like fulfillable, reserved, inbound, researching, etc.). 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗙𝗕𝗔 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. It’s a legitimate chore to reconcile the on-hand amounts on a given day and requires combining data from the summary and detail views to get some semblance of inventory amounts on hand.
